From Qazvin
Persian «carpet flower» wall piece, petals cut from old carpets, reclaimed wood frame, from Qazvin (2 models)
€49
A flower made of petals cut from old hand-knotted carpets, each edged with jute twine: the maker's idea is that each petal stands for one province of Iran. It sits on a corner of reclaimed wooden frame, with a green felt ground. Two models: light frame with red and blue petals, or dark frame with red and sand-coloured petals. Each is one of a kind.
How it is made
Each petal is cut from an old hand-knotted carpet, edged with jute twine and stitched to the others; the flower is mounted on a felt ground and a corner of reclaimed wooden frame.
